Thacker Farm HOA – Field Activity FAQ

1. What is going on near the edge of our neighborhood?
The City has begun excavation work near the boundary of Thacker Farm and Arrington subdivision. They’ve stated this is related to “sediment removal” for a retention pond.
2. Is this on Thacker Farm HOA property?
We believe the work may be on HOA-owned land, but we are waiting for confirmation from our HOA attorney and the City.
3. Did the HOA approve this work?
No. The HOA was not given prior notice, nor have we granted permission for any excavation or construction on our property.
4. What is the HOA doing about it?
Contacted the HOA attorney to review plats and property records.
Requested formal documentation from the City on the purpose, scope, and legal rights related to the work.
Will share updates with residents as soon as we have verified information.
5. Will the property be repaired?
If it is confirmed that the work occurred on HOA property without proper authorization, we will seek restoration or compensation.
6. Could the land be sold or transferred to the City or Arrington’s developer?
Possibly — but only if the HOA votes to approve it and the terms are fair.
7. How will I know what’s happening next?
We will send neighborhood-wide updates via email and post information at ThackerFarmHOA.com.
8. When is the next HOA meeting?
The next quarterly HOA meeting is being scheduled now. We’ll send out the date, time, and agenda as soon as it’s confirmed. We encourage all residents to attend so your questions and concerns can be addressed directly.
